I can't believe I haven't made a blog post since October. Hopefully this will catch us all up so that you can all be apart of the next (and may I say exciting chapter) of my life.
My Husband and I started trying to build our family (secretly of course) around summer of last year. It took us until September to get pregnant and I got my first of MANY positive pregnancy tests on September 18, 2010. I was thrilled, scared, excited and pretty much every emotion you could have. I was given a due date of June 2, 2011 by my OB on October 6, 2010 (there's more to this date..but i'll save you the over-detailed explanation). The first two months of my pregnancy was scary, we weren't sure if the baby was going to "stick" or not and so we kept it quite but told family on a trip to California in Mid October. Here is our little guy's first picture.
The months I've been pregnant have seemed to fly by looking back. I was always waiting for the other shoe to drop thinking that I hadn't done what I needed to do in my life to justify such a blessing. Apparently, I did something right, because the baby has grown from that little bean that you see in this picture to a full term baby.
I've gone from a size 8 to a size PREGNANT in the last 9 months
Now, I get to wait. It is a really awesome feeling to be able to feel a little being moving around inside of you. Of all the things I will miss the most when he is out of my tummy, I will miss the times I could sit at work with him moving around in my belly and giggle. Those times, I spent with him will be priceless forever.
We've decided to name our first little boy Jericho Joseph. My husband jokes around and says he's going to call him Triple J to prepare him to be a wrestler. I don't really know how that is going to go, but its adorable to hear my husband already talk about the person our little man is going to grow up to be. Lets be serious, he's going to be a world champion water polo player. Come on now!
On the work front, I changed jobs in November and went from a Customer Service Manager to a Project Manager for a new company that I love and is awesome. I've been there for over 6 months now, and that was scary. I was 3 months pregnant when I started working there and had to travel a bit during the first part of my pregnancy. In all honestly, I loved it and I would've flown around the United States on business until my doctor grounded me if they would've let me. So far, everyone has been great and I am planning on working up until this Thursday as I am scheduled for an induction on Friday to get this little guy OUT into the world. Here is the wall art myself and a close friend of mine painted in his room. Just for him.

He doesn't know what he's missing out on here, he has his own room, a step-sister who is excited to meet him and parents who already fight over him. Next month (June) we will have family flying/driving in from California pretty much for the whole month and into July to meet him. Everyone is really excited.
I don't think I'll be able to get back to my Wordless Wednesdays and Thirsty Thursdays routine now that I have a new job and we have a new baby coming in less than a week. I'm sure the posts will be closer together then the last one because I'll have a new baby who will be growing up quick to show to the world!
Until Next Time!
